Dreamscapes will be temporarily closing at the end of June to move locations and build the next version of the exhibit. Help us celebrate our time at South Town and visit this version of Dreamscapes before it’s gone!
Due to the contracts between The Shops at South Town and Smith Entertainment Group, Dreamscapes will be moving out of its current location at South Town. Smith Entertainment Group recently purchased South Town and the land around it. They plan to build out the space Dreamscapes currently resides as a NHL practice facility. We aren’t involved in their build, and therefore do not know details, but are excited for the new opportunities this will bring to Salt Lake and to see South Town continuing to be a community space.
As with past Dreamscapes moves, the Dreamscapes team is using this time to re-imagine what Dreamscapes will look like, what art will be showcased, and how to continue supporting artists. We’re committed to providing the Salt Lake valley with this immersive, unique art experience. Looking toward the future, we will continue to foster the arts through Dreamscapes, other programs, and through establishing the Art Castle, a facility that will include an immersive art experience like Dreamscapes, alongside performing and community arts spaces.
At this point in time, Dreamscapes’ new location has not been finalized but many options are being considered.
We’re thankful to have spent 2 years as part of the South Town community. UAA will continue to share updates about Dreamscapes as details of the move are finalized. Until then Dreamers, we can’t wait to see you.
