To foster the arts in all forms to create an AWARE, EMPOWERED, and CONNECTED community
The UAA provides unique services and programs that benefit the communities we serve by providing the infrastructure that enables people to pursue their creative dreams and experience art in their community. We operate four venues and provide many crucial programs and services for artists, as well as unmatched opportunities for the public to experience arts & culture through our events and community programs.
Our programming and facilities are extensive but focused, directed at creating a space for artists of all backgrounds and all forms. We provide unique venues, events, and programs that are vital to the cultural health of the communities we serve. Through facilities, festivals, and our other unique programming, we support over 2,000 artists in multiple disciplines and serve over 200,000 people in Utah each year. Ultimately, our goal is to benefit our community by providing the infrastructure that enables people from all walks of life, especially those who lack financial resources, to pursue their creative dreams and experience art in their community.

STATEMENT ON CULTURAL EQUITY
Cultural equity embodies the values, policies, and practices that ensure that all people—including but not limited to those who have been historically underrepresented based on race/ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, socioeconomic status, geography, citizenship status, or religion—are represented in the development of UAA policy; the support of artists; the nurturing of accessible, thriving venues for expression; and the fair distribution of programmatic, financial, and informational resources.”
