Projection Mapping

With projection mapping, artists combine light, space, and technology to create magical scenes on seemingly ordinary spaces, like the Salt Lake City Public Library! Objects are not just projected onto a flat surface, they are designed to wrap around buildings and mold to their shape, pixel by pixel, turning common objects into interactive 3D displays. For ILLUMINATE, local artists have designed a projection show you can enjoy throughout the festival.

STEAM Lab

Experience ILLUMINATE’s take on S.T.E.A.M. programming (science, technology, engineering, ART and mathematics) in our S.T.E.A.M lab. Learn about the special place where the creative and technology sectors come together. This space is designed for attendees of all ages to engage in interactive activities built around light and technology.

Artist Night Market

Featuring local artists practicing a variety of mediums, this open air market shows off the skills and creativity of artists and makers. Shop for one-of-a-kind pieces for yourself or others while supporting artists.
