Gonzo Rising carries on the tradition of old Vaudeville’s “Weirdo” act, the act so strange no one understood it, but no one forgot it, either. Traditionally, the weirdo act is placed at the end of the show to help clear the theater.
Well now, the weirdos have come to their own spotlight in Gonzo Rising, a series of all-weirdo revue shows in the Vaudeville Revival tradition. Starting in 2018, Gonzo Rising has been amusing and confusing people off all walks of life in multiple venues — and now herald our triumphant return as part of the Salt Lake Fringe Fest!
Gonzo Rising will be performed live and live streamed at Alliance Theater on Friday, July 21st at 8:00PM, and will be streamed during the Fringe Festival on August 1st, 5th, 8th also at 8pm.
