UAA is seeking an Events Beverage & Bar Operations Coordinator!
The Events Beverage & Bar Operations Coordinator oversees all aspects of bar setup, staffing, and alcohol service for Utah Arts Alliance festivals and events.Â
This role ensures compliance with UDABC and Health Department regulations, manages inventory and equipment, and supports sponsorship and branding efforts. The coordinator recruits and trains bar staff, creates event-specific drink menus, tracks sales and expenses, and oversees bar set up and tear down for each event or festival.Â
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and collaborative communication are essential. This position is a seasonal (around scheduled events) position within the Festivals and Events Department and contributes to the success of UAA’s vibrant community programming.
- Job Type: Coordinator, non-exempt, non-benefited.Â
- Shift and Hours: Part-time or seasonal (based on event calendar); every event will require a different number of hours, with varying hours of 5-20 in the months leading up to and immediately after an event/festival. Hours every week are not guaranteed. Hours are set by the Festivals and Events as approved by the Executive Director. Work times are flexible, but must be able to attend (in-person or virtually) regular event planning meetings held during the work week, must be able to help with event and festival set up and tear down, and must be able to work all scheduled events, which take place Friday evenings and/or on weekends. These events include, but are not limited to, Illuminate, SLC White Party, and Urban Arts Fest.
