Join us October 23, 2021 from 2-6pm for an Art Castle celebration. KeyBank helped us reach our Go-Fund-Me goal for the Art Castle and we want to celebrate this milestone with you! Come to 915 W 100 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84104 from 2-6 pm for a lively afternoon of free food from food trucks, performances, and activities for the kiddos. See inside the chapel, which hasn’t been open to the public in years, and learn more about the grand vision of saving an historic building while creating a place for art on the West Side.
We will be honoring Representative Sandra Hollins who has shown us enormous support and helped us get this far. We will also be launching our second phase of fundraising which will focus on making the Art Castle accessible. The Art Castle was built well before building codes mandated features to accommodate those with disabilities and mobility issues. To address this problem, the next phase of fundraising will include significant upgrades to ensure the Art Castle is implementing the best design practices for accessibility. Projects include new, ADA accessible restrooms, an elevator to access the various levels, and a ramp system to establish a proper flow throughout the spaces.
Donations of any size are currently being accepted. Donations of $500 or higher will receive a limited edition, signed-and-numbered print of “Art Castle”, commissioned by Artist Scott Tuckfield.
