Our mission is to foster the Arts in all forms in order to create an aware, empowered, and connected community.

The Urban Arts Fest Elements is a pivot from a large scale 2-day festival to a month-long COVID friendly arrangement of exhibits and outdoor events, celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the Urban Arts Festival. This series of exhibits include the Skate Deck Exhibit at the Urban Arts Gallery, Mural Arts, Hard N Paint Basketball Competition, Lowrider Custom Car Culture Exhibit, and the Artist Marketplace.

Art & Craft Market at the Gateway

Don’t miss this weekly open air market, a gathering of local crafters and artists selling handmade wares. The Art & Craft Market is held on Saturdays from 10 am – 2 pm at The Gateway in front of HallPass and Urban Arts Gallery.

To keep our artists and patrons safe, we will implement the following guidelines:

Downtown Farmers Market is open from 8 am to 1 pm on Saturdays with local farms and packaged foods. Shop local Saturdays in Downtown SLC.

-Alfred Stieglitz“Aperture” is a diverse collection of work by local Utah photographers. These skilled artists have captured a variety of images–from beautiful natural landscapes to intriguing urban scenes–and the Urban Arts Gallery is devoting the month of August to showcase their best work.

Featured photographers include Amanda Losness, Charlie Hampton, Devin Jordan, Emily Bourne, Geoff Doiron, Greggory Wood, Janna Jensen, Jeremy Blackner, Madelyn Boudreaux, Nathan Gentry, Nick Pedersen, Paul Black, Steve Rasmussen, and Tamara Buck.

“Aperture” will hang from August 4th to 30th, with a gallery stroll reception on Friday, August 21st from 6-9pm. Admission is free and open to the public.

Presenting: “PPA: Personal Protective Art”, an open-call exhibit of creative face masks, from July 10 – August 14 at the Urban Arts Gallery!

Connect is a free, regular pop-up art exhibit that invites all visual artists to showcase up to two pieces of their art. Connect provides the necessary tools for establishing a career in the arts gained through lectures, workshops, and activities. Attendees participate by voting for their favorite pieces, which helps prepare and educate the artists.

Connect is perfect for emerging artists and art lovers. The program was established in 2010 by Utah Arts Alliance in Salt Lake City, UT. Learn more here.
