Urban Arts Festival is the largest free community art event in Utah. We are currently accepting applications for our artist marketplace. Participating artists have found this festival to be a successful platform to promote their craft while networking with other working artists, customers and fans.
What are we looking for?
Urban Art is a style of expression that relates to city life and culture within context of the urban environment. As Salt Lake City continues grow in population and diversity, the Urban Arts Festival seeks to showcase emerging and professional artists working in this style.
The Artist Marketplace has the capacity to show more than 150 artists displaying in a variety of mediums—photography, painting, print, textile, sculpture, jewelry, glass and other. We are looking for vendors that share our passion for promoting art and artists in the community. Accepted vendors will need to be available for the 2-day festival and an orientation event in September.
Our festival includes live music, dance performances, kids activities, fashion shows and food events. This is a lively festival environment. Please reach out if you have never attended the festival and have questions about our event.
What do we have to offer?
Utah Art Alliance is a nonprofit organization with a mission of fostering the arts in all forms in order to create an aware, empowered, and connected community. When we are not organizing festivals, we run galleries, operate event venues, manage spaces for artist studios/rehearsal rooms and even find time to create art ourselves. Last year we launched KUAA 99.9 FM, a bilingual public radio station designed to promote art and culture. We want artists to be supported and successful in all aspects of their business. Urban Arts Festival is now in its 9th year. As festival producers, we are experienced and organized. We are hardworking and always strive to create the best experience for our artists and attendees. Average attendance is 25,000 over the course of the 2-day festival. Our booth fees are low cost with table rates starting at $200.
Utah Arts Alliance has an impressive level of engagement on social media through several channels. Participating artists will have their pages promoted on our pages if they engage with our social media manager.
What do I need to apply?
Applications are accepting using an online program, Zapplication. All applicants are subject to a one time, nonrefundable application fee of $25. Applicants will also need to upload photos of their work to be reviewed by the selection committee.
