Friday, July 21stJuly’s exhibit at Urban Arts Gallery features local artists who work with that most bold, unforgiving, and beautiful of media: INK. Get ready for intricate line and stipple work, creative concepts and subjects, and the rich contrast of ink on paper. Ink will hang from July 4th to July 30th. An artist reception will be held on Friday, July 21st from 6-9 pm. Admission is free and open to the public.

Featured artists include: Chris Kirkham, Colleen Palmer, Ethan Oberholzer, James Holmes, John Cave, Joseph Kirkham, Lindsay Anderson, Nicholas Baker, Patric Bates, Sara White, Sarah Zilbershteyn, and Tai Taeoalii.

Midnight Records Productions at Counterpoint Studios is your Utah Arts Alliance community based full service audio recording facility specializing in affordable recording services for area artists, musicians and singer songwriters.

Emerging Musicians check out this amazing opportunity to record in Salt Lake’s Premier recording studio for free! The Utah Arts Alliance in its never ending quest to promote the arts in Salt Lake City has opened the doors of Counterpoint Recording Studios for free, one day a month. Press Conference: Urban Arts Festival

The Utah Arts Alliance cordially invites our friends & representatives of the media to attend our official announcements regarding the 7th annual Urban Arts Festival.

The Press Conference will take place on the Main Stage of the Gallivan Center on Friday July 21 at 8am sharp. The Festival’s legendary headliners will be announced as well as featured acts, artists, installations, and more. RSVP here!

Salt Lake Capoeira is a capoeira school and performing group located in Salt Lake City, Utah, and directed by Mestre Jamaika (Mauro Romualdo), a three-time Brazilian Capoeira Champion with international performing and teaching experience. He leads a diverse group of talented, enthusiastic, and dedicated students.

Brazilian Dance Classes

Samba Fogo is Brazilian and Afro-Brazilian drumming, dance, song, and/or creative movement classes where students connect more fully to their classmates as they engage with exciting cultural content and gain a global perspective.

The Art Factory

The newest addition to UAA programs, The Art Factory is a Creative Industries Incubator. It is located at 193 W. 2100 S. SSLC UT 84115, conveniently next to the Trax Central Pointe Station Stop.

The Factory has affordable studio, office, rehearsal & event space between 250-5,500 sq., ft. Rents start at $400/month, utilities included. Contact andrew@utaharts.org for more info or to arrange a tour.
